Health and cardiometabolic diseases degree: a new training program for care and research professionals

How can we better understand, prevent and treat cardio-metabolic diseases, a major public health issue with a fast-growing epidemiological profile?

These chronic pathologies linked to overweight, nutrition and the resulting metabolic dysfunction are responsible for endocrine, hepatic and nephrological disorders, as well as cardiovascular disease, which is the 2nd leading cause of death in the general population in France and the leading cause in women.

Under the teaching responsibility of Professor Vlad Ratziu (Hepatologist, IHU ICAN / APHP) and Professor Stéphane Hatem (Director of the IHU ICAN and Cardiologist, APHP), the University Diploma (DU) in Health and Cardiometabolic Diseases is a continuing professional education programme offered by Sorbonne University.
