ICAN Clinical Investigation, an expert clinical investigation platform dedicated to cardiometabolic diseases
Located on the premises of the IE3M (Institute of Endocrinology, Metabolic Diseases and Internal Medicine) at the heart of the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital site, ICAN Clinical Investigation is a clinical investigation centre dedicated to biomedical research. With their expertise in cardiometabolic diseases, the ICAN Clinical Investigation teams support academic and industrial sponsors in setting up their clinical projects and help to ensure that clinical trials run smoothly, from the feasibility stage and centre selection through to project completion.
Thanks to its unique location within Europe’s largest public hospital, ICAN Clinical Investigation is the ideal point of contact for coordinating the various departments at La Pitié-Salpêtrière and the Clinical Research and Innovation Directorate (DRCI) to conduct innovative academic and industrial clinical research projects.

Feasibility study and sizing of the research project
- Support in sizing the project: number of patients, number and types of tests, assessment of human resource requirements, etc
