2. Intellectual property rights

This site is owned and operated by ICAN. The presentation and each of the elements, including the structure of the site, the texts, graphics, trademarks, logos, domain names, images and sounds and their components, appearing on the www.ihiican.org site are protected by the laws in force on intellectual property and belong to ICAN, or are the subject of an authorisation for use.

In accordance with article L.122-4 of the French Intellectual Property Code, no part of the site may be copied, reproduced, modified, republished, loaded, distorted, transmitted or distributed in any way whatsoever, on any medium whatsoever, in whole or in part, without the prior written permission of ICAN.

Only private copies are authorised for personal, private and non-commercial use on a personal computer. The following notice must appear on any authorised copy of all or part of the content of the site: “ICAN – All rights reserved”. Any authorised use of the elements making up or appearing on the site must be made without distortion, modification or alteration in any way whatsoever. Nature of the information

The site contains information relating to the medical field, which is intended solely for the information of users and which may under no circumstances be used as a substitute for the advice of health specialists in the context of a medical diagnosis.

4. Site information including personal data

Visitors are not required to disclose their personal data as a condition of using this site. If visitors request information through the site and provide ICAN with their e-mail address or name and postal address, they agree that this data may be used for the purpose of providing the requested information. They also agree that ICAN may use this data in the future to provide other information about the ICAN HIF that may be of interest to visitors. In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, you have the right to access, modify, rectify and delete any personal data concerning you. Consequently, the mere fact that you send it to us gives us the right to use, reproduce, distribute, modify or transmit it in order to process your request.

Lastly, certain information on this site may constitute forecasts concerning research programmes, scientific events and prizes and awards in the context of grants, for example. This information is based on assumptions that are subject to change: fluctuations or cancellations.

5. Limitation of liability

ICAN makes every effort to ensure, to the best of its ability, that the information published on the site is accurate and up-to-date, and reserves the right to correct the content at any time and without prior notice. However, the IHU cannot guarantee the accuracy, precision, updating or exhaustiveness of the information made available on the site.

Consequently, and with the exception of direct damage resulting from gross negligence or wilful misconduct, ICAN accepts no liability :

  • for any imprecision, inaccuracy or omission relating to information available on the site;
  • for any damage resulting from fraudulent intrusion by a third party leading to modification of the information or elements made available on the site;

Anyone wishing to make a donation, receive the newsletter, contact or apply for a job with ICAN must provide their personal details. This data will then be processed solely by ICAN. This personal data will be used for the purpose for which it is intended (questions, managing a donation, etc.).

Pursuant to the amended Act of 6 January 1978 and the European Data Protection Regulation no. 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, the person concerned by data processing has the right to access, rectify, limit and object to the data.
